Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as the S & P 500 retreated from its record, and what’s on the radar for the next session. Big data on ‘Squawk Box’ Durable goods and housing starts both come in at 8:30 a.m. ET. Becky Quick, Andrew Ross Sorkin and Joe Kernen will be watching and will have full market reaction. Economists polled by Dow Jones are anticipating a 0.2% increase for durable goods. The big earnings reports after the bell Alphabet , Amazon , Meta Platforms , Microsoft and Qualcomm all report Wednesday. Results will be featured live on ” Closing Bell: Overtime ” with Melissa Lee and Mike Santoli. Alphabet has climbed 4.1% in the past three months. The stock hit a new high on Monday. It is up about 22% in April. Amazon has gained nearly 7% in the past three months. The stock hit a high last week. It is up around 25% in April. Meta has been flat over the past three months. Shares are off 16% from the August 2025 high, but they are up nearly 28% in a month. Microsoft has lost about 11% in the past three months. Shares are down 23% from the July high but up 20% in the past month. Qualcomm has fallen 1.8% in the past three months. The stock is off 27% from the October high but up 18% in a month. These stocks all have pretty high implied volatility on earnings day: 5% for Alphabet, 7% for Amazon, Meta and Microsoft, and 8% for Qualcomm. GOOGL 3M mountain Alphabet in the past three months Big CEOs on ‘Squawk on the Street’ after reporting earnings this afternoon Starbucks ‘ Brian Niccol is on CNBC TV in the 9 a.m. hour. Shares are down 7% from the January high. Starbucks beat estimates Tuesday afternoon and raised guidance. The stock is up 5% after hours. Robinhood ‘s Vlad Tenev is on CNBC TV in the 9 a.m. hour. The stock is off 46% from the October high. Robinhood missed estimates in its report released Tuesday afternoon. Shares are down 9% after hours. The state of the Great American Consumer Jim Cramer of ” Mad Money ” speaks with two top executives who watch the health of the consumer closely. One analyzes this through their finances; the other determines this by where and what they’re eating. SoFi CEO Anthony Noto will be on “Mad Money” at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening. The stock is down 43% from the high reached in November. The stock is up more than 20% in a month. Brinker International CEO Kevin Hochman will also be on “Mad Money” Wednesday night. The company has the Chili’s and Maggiano’s brands and reports quarterly earnings Wednesday morning. Shares are down 31% from the 52-week high reached in July. The stock is down 3% in a month.
